Got nothing much today except for the five slices of pizza, a size of cake and a pack of maltesers :O which made my first sunny morning exercise after a week of rainy dawns…totally useless. Hahaha!
Spent the afternoon with ate Angie to “scour” new blouses and buy a new pair of wedges. Guess what? I ended up buying four blouses for only Php1,000.00.
Woke up to the call of Ma’am Weng, our president in CLM at 7:25 a.m. She asked me to read the second reading on her behalf for the 8:15 a.m. mass. Of course, I agreed. Adrenalin rush never failed me for I only took a bath in five minutes (but I don’t stink, okay?), dressed up and put my make-up on for 10 minutes and dashed to the church in 10 minutes. I didn’t complain for I love reading in the church. By the way, here’s my unscheduled SCHEDULE (if you know what I mean) of reading for this day: 8:15 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 12 noon, 6:00 p.m. Yep, I attended four masses today… and seriously, I got drained but happy.
And the first day of the two-Saturday DEADLY comprehensive exams had finally arrived! Came to the uni before 8:00 a.m. but the exam started 30 minutes after.
On the first day, my classmate and I took the Foundations of Language and Research courses . Though each subject has only four essay questions, we took the test for four hours. What caught us by surprise were the first set of questions for they were not part of the requisites of the first subject. Fortunately, I kept my calm while berating my RUSTY head and forcing him to retrieve the information for me (Oh head, please, you got to know this Critical Period Hypothesis. I can’t believe how totally useless you are at this moment! Come on, you can do better than that!)
After the test, we believed we deserve a treat so we STORMED (yeah, stormed, pinaabtik ba) to Abreeza and ate our lunch. I had a slice of pizza and a plate of carbonara while my friend literally gobbled a slice of White Chicago pizza.
I arrived at 2:00 p.m. in Davao city but due to my scheduled comprehensive test the next morning, I proceeded to Darcy’s place to study and there ordered spaghetti with meatballs and Coffee and Cream flurry.
Also, today I finally checked off another item from my bucket list: study in a coffee shop!
After two hours, by the way, I ordered another mug of flurry- this time the chocolate flavor.
Unwinding and spending quality time with my siblings, Kenneth and Kath at Basilio’s Resto, Koronadal city before finally heading back to Davao city…
Today too, I spent time reading articles on winery and blind wine guessing. It’s good to know even just a few info about things I don’t usually pay attention to.
